In my own life, I've been in a place where hope was extremely painful. It was also a place that shifted and changed (for better and worse), according to seemingly unseen circumstances and emotional shifts. That's why I think stories like this deserve attention, love, and recognition. Intention is a powerful force, and so is little boy.
Upon spending some time with Jesse and his mom Kristin, I learned that he is a very important inspiration for many individuals and families. He has real presence (I loved making him smile), and shows progress that consistently defies his many medical diagnoses. He is a brave example that there are times when one has the choice to ignore what 'face value' has to offer.
